FW: OLIVER CROMWELL SPEECH TO SACK BRITISH PARLIMENT IN APRIL 1653 AND HIS MISTAKE -WHAT A SIMILARIY OF TODAY PAKISTAN

Oliver Cromwell  Speech  sacking Mother of all Parliament  on 20th April 1653 .

·        If  one  reads  word –by –word   what  Oliver Cromwell  said  in the British Parliament  in year 1653 , then look , listen about  the corruption , misdeed of Pakistan present day politicians , you will  find nothing have changed '

·        Oliver Cromwell  made  a serious mistake , he did not destroyed  landed gentry / ruling class  before  sacking the parliament .

·        After  his death Oliver Cromwell  dead  body was taken out from his grave and hanged  after trial .

·        In Pakistan today  the politicians  are exactly  same  as   the politician of   England in  year 1653 . If  any  Pakistani  military  or political leader  wants  to  bring about socio-economic –political –electoral reform , he needs to completely destroy current ruling elite , otherwise  the fate of  military or political leader who dares  to bring reform  will face the same fate as that   of Oliver Cromwell faced after  his death .

" Oliver Cromwell's Speech"-April  20, 1653--  what  a  similarity ?

It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place, which you have dishonored by your contempt of all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice.

Ye are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government.

Ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would like Esau sell your country for a mess of pottage, and like Judas betray your God for a few pieces of money.

Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you? Is there one vice you do not possess?

Ye have no more religion than my horse. Gold is your God. Which of you have not bartered your conscience for bribes? Is there a man amongst you that has the least care for the good of the Commonwealth?

Ye sordid prostitutes have you not defiled this sacred place, and turned the Lord's temple into a den of thieves, by your immoral principles and wicked practices?

Ye are grown intolerably odious to the whole nation. You were deputed here by the people to get grievances redressed, are yourselves become the greatest grievance.

Your country therefore calls upon me to cleanse this Augean stable, by putting a final period to your iniquitous proceedings in this House; and which by God's help, and the strength he has given me, I am now come to do.

I command ye therefore, upon the peril of your lives, to depart immediately out of this place.

Go, get you out! Make haste! Ye venal slaves be gone! So! Take away that shining bauble there, and lock up the doors.

In the name of God, go!

  1. So you want a 'Lord Protector'? Haven't we had more than our share already?
yes, Cromwell cleaned up the 'Augean stables', but what then? His body was dug out of the grave and beheaded - and they didn't even have Article 6.
Incidentally, his religious zeal finds something in common wit TUQ, and his firm belief that God led him to his victories with IK [On second thoughts, recalling his world cup speech, we may need to put a question mark there. Perhaps God was a later discovery]

  3. I fully endorse that first things first these crafty maggots of the gutters should have been in the gutters and not sitting in the assemblies or senate or the courts. This so called revolution in the making will die its own death unless you do the thorough cleansing of those August houses the major institutions of Pakistan. Mass mobilization and ruthless, relentless and remorseless treatment should be meted to these honorable people, the blue blooded (so called), the landed gentry, the pseudo royals, the bum lickers of the people sitting at high alters. Just start the process of massive brutality with heavy handedness with a few ideally cronic corrupt lot, and the others will surrender without resistance and this will have a snowballing effect of the mighty and the strong. AND THEY WILL BRING THE GOLD BACK.
